About

Salerno Gallery Established in 2010, Salerno Gallery is an ever-changing Contemporary Art Gallery situated on Glebe Point Road in the bustling inner city Sydney suburb of Glebe. In 2014 G.P.R was launched as a dedicated project space aimed emerging artists and groups looking to explore new themes and ideas through their artistic practice. More recently Salerno Gallery has announced it will be transitioning to a new space with further details scheduled for release late 2015.

Salerno Gallery is dedicated to hosting exciting and progressive contemporary art exhibitions by emerging and established artists – both local and international, working in all mediums ranging from paint, illustration and sculpture to installation and video work. It is the intention of Salerno Gallery to showcase a range of quality work from artists which we believe contribute to the tapestry of cultural discourse, in addition to providing a platform for original and creative curatorial voices.

Whether the work is of a professional, commercial or experimental and site specific nature, we support and encourage all artists to ensure they have the opportunity to exhibit their work publicly, gain wider exposure and generate sales to sustain and expand their art practice.

Our aims include:

  • To support emerging and established artists, by offering them a platform from which to develop their practice and gain wider exposure.
  • To provide a platform and assistance for original and creative curatorial voices.
  • To provide a flexible exhibition space which is a vibrant environment for creative practice and dialogue.
  • To promote a diverse array of work and develop new audiences for contemporary arts.
  • To be an integral part of the artistic community locally and nationally, making connections with artists and creative groups across the world.
